Work Setting:
Primarily fieldwork and shop duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various water storage tanks utilized in the water sector. The services provided are essential for municipalities, often involving tight deadlines, complex mechanical challenges, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
Core Duties:
- Utilize mechanical expertise to diagnose and resolve tank-related issues
- Install additional components such as mixers and nozzles
- Conduct thorough inspections of tanks, documenting conditions with photographs and detailed descriptions
- Collaborate effectively with team members to discuss repair strategies and troubleshoot issues with supervisors
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations
- Enforce all safety protocols mandated by the company and clients
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Positive attitude contributing to teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities
- Willingness to work in the field and travel as needed
- Ability to work overtime and weekends on short notice
- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and charts
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
