Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs Health Care System. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a wide range of speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Conduct instrumental swallowing evaluations and administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized assessment measures.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical outcomes and adapt clinical procedures and techniques to accommodate unique patient conditions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology, communication disorders, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
  • One year of creditable experience in speech-language pathology.
  • Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice speech-language pathology.
  • English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with instrumental evaluation of dysphagia.
  • Experience with the assessment and treatment of neurodegenerative disease.
  • At least 2 years of acute care experience.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Telework may be available with supervisory approval. This is not a virtual position.
