The Autobarn Volvo Cars Oak Park is seeking a Skilled Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic . While experience with Volvo is preferred, we are committed to training the right candidate . Responsibilities – Skilled Automotive Service Technician:

  • Execute repairs as specified on the repair order, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose the source of any issues and carry out necessary repairs
  • Collaborate with the parts department to secure required components
  • Inspect vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is necessary. Promptly inform the service advisor if further work is not required
  • Notify the service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe
  • Record all work performed
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles when necessary or refer to the testing technician

Qualifications/Requirements – Skilled Automotive Service Technician:

  • Experience with Volvo is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Team-oriented individual
  • Commitment to going above and beyond for customer satisfaction
  • Eagerness to learn about the brand
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Familiarity with shop equipment
