Job Opportunity

Hedrick Medical Center of Chillicothe, Missouri is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to support adult ICU, Medical Surgical, ED, Surgery, and the Code Blue Team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with nursing, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and metabolic testing in accordance with physician orders and respiratory medical protocols.
  • Perform or assist in procedures including but not limited to endotracheal intubation, extubations, tracheostomy tube changes, bronchoscopy, and capnography monitoring.
  • Conduct patient assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions analysis, and reporting of clinical response.
  • Evaluate appropriateness of medical orders, transporting patients requiring mechanical ventilation or airway protection, and assuring safe operations of devices in Xray, CT, and MRI.
  • Maintain proficiency in the application of mechanical ventilation modalities, Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, and Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist - Various.
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
  • Associate Degree.
