Job Title: Market Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Market Clerk to join our team at Fareway Stores, Inc. As a Market Clerk, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our market department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs and answering questions about our products.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas daily to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Prepare and cut meat to order, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Record and report accurate inventory counts to ensure efficient stock management.
  • Assist customers with their shopping needs, including filling meat cases and maintaining digital logs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the market department.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and some evenings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Previous experience is helpful but not required.
Physical Demands:
  • On feet up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Repetitive lifting, reaching, grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting.
  • Frequently lift 0-20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
