About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms and assist with patient positioning as needed
  • Inspect sterile items for contamination and maintain sterility while scrubbed
  • Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts, following established policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons and registered nurses to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program (CST)
  • NYS LPN also acceptable
  • 1 to 3 years of scrubbing experience preferred
  • Familiar with all specialty services preferred
