We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join Wisconsin Vision Associates, Inc. (WVA) team.

Estimated salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

About the role

  • This is a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our web applications and software products.
  • You will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust testing process to ensure the quality of our web applications and software products.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement testing processes, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Perform manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and software updates.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand technical implementations and provide feedback on potential issues and improvement areas.
  • Identify and report bugs, track issues through resolution, and work with the team to prioritize and resolve bugs efficiently.
  • Conduct regression tests before software releases to ensure stability across application features.
  • Continuously refine and improve testing methodologies and practices to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, QA processes, and methodologies for web applications.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts.
  • Experience with manual testing, including creating detailed test cases and executing them.
  • Experience with regression testing, performance testing, and end-to-end testing.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, etc.) and common web application architectures.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with continuous integration tools is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
