About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Assistant to fill a temporary locum tenens position in Gastroenterology at an Acute Care Hospital in Pennsylvania. As a Physician Assistant Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient histories and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe medications
- Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician
- Document medical records accurately and thoroughly
Requirements:
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
- Active and unencumbered PA license in Pennsylvania
- National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- At least one year of clinical experience in Gastroenterology
