Transforming Pediatric GI Care

Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU is committed to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research in the GI Pediatrics Division. We seek a talented Pediatric GI Psychologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor residents and chief residents in pediatric GI/psychology
  • Conduct scholarly activities, such as program evaluation, research, and publications
  • Participate in departmental and school-level committees
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition
Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Counseling from an APA-accredited program
  • Virginia licensure or eligibility
  • Experience in treating patients with gastroenterological disorders, particularly pediatric motility and functional GI disorders
  • Experience in education and mentoring
  • Commitment to diversity and fostering a diverse environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sub-board certification and/or additional graduate degree
  • Experience with non-pharmacological management of GI disorders
  • Research experience, program evaluation, and/or publications
  • Experience with advocacy at local, state, and national levels
