Overview:

Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Director and Assistant Director, the Environmental Services Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that all areas of the facility are kept clean and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute daily cleaning tasks as assigned.
2. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, and heating/cooling units in resident rooms and common areas as directed.
3. Sanitize and maintain bathroom fixtures to ensure hygiene standards are met.
4. Clean windows and mirrors in all areas including resident rooms, common spaces, and entry points.
5. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting as required.
6. Clean walls and other surfaces as necessary.
7. Utilize appropriate cleaning and disinfecting agents while ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked.
8. Dispose of waste in designated containers, including proper handling of infectious materials.
9. Prepare vacant rooms for future residents by cleaning and sanitizing.
10. Collect, sort, and launder resident clothing and linens, returning them once cleaned, and mend items when feasible.
11. Report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in long-term care or hospitality settings is preferred.
- A strong commitment to assisting others and providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds and to remain active throughout the workday.
