Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Coordinator in the Neurology Department at Ascension Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating nursing program activities and resources within the clinical specialty or department.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee program, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and document care plans and therapy programs.
  • Oversee and ensure plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated.
  • Ensure necessary resources and/or equipment is obtained as ordered.
  • May supervise and direct nursing staff.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Education
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Additional Preferences
  • Stroke or ED experience preferred.
