  • Technical Expertise: Review technical problems and procedures, and recommend solutions or changes to improve equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement systems for preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize the risk of equipment failure.
  • Staff Development: Train and develop staff to provide the necessary skills to support maintenance responsibilities and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Equipment Evaluation: Evaluate the capabilities of the packaging and production maintenance department and recommend improvements to equipment, tools, and other resources to enhance performance.
  • Staff Recruitment: Recruit and develop staff to provide the necessary skills to support maintenance responsibilities and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Systems Assessment: Assess systems for re-engineering or troubleshooting at both hands-on and engineering levels to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Team Support: Participate actively as a member of the plant management team and provide support for other plant functions and activities as determined by the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
Requirements:
  • Industry Experience: Dairy or other food-related experience is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy in work is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities, written and verbal, are essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of computer software is necessary.
Education and Experience:
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Technical Degree: Technical degree in a Technical/Engineering discipline is preferred.
