Histology Technologist

• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by pathologists, including surgical, autopsy, research, and outside cases.
• Operate instrumentation for tissue dehydration, section clearing, impregnation with paraffin, cutting tissue sections, and staining of slides.
• Prepare solutions, stains, and reagents in accordance with established standards and written procedures.
• Maintain all histology area lab equipment in proper working order, cleanliness, and sharpness of microtome knives.
Requirements:
• National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) certification.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
