We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to serve as a Love Your Block VISTA member in Charleston. As a urban revitalization coordinator, you will play a key role in developing and managing programs that promote community engagement and neighborhood revitalization.

About the Position

This is a full-time, 12-month service position that requires a strong commitment to community development and social justice. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to engage residents and community organizations in neighborhood revitalization efforts.
  • Collaborating with city officials and partner organizations to identify opportunities for volunteer engagement and community development.
  • Providing training and support to volunteers to ensure their success and retention.
  • Tracking and evaluating volunteer hours and impact to inform program improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with local stakeholders to promote volunteerism and community engagement.
