Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving classroom management and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Facilitate communication between the school, parents, and external mental health professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support plans.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on topics such as child development, behavior management, and mental health awareness.
  • Keep accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • Master's or Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active Nevada School-based License with a School Psychology endorsement required.
  • NCSP certification through NASP optional.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, educators, and administrators.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
