We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kiemle & Hagood Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, including work orders and unit turns, maintaining grounds, curb appeal, and common areas, as well as mitigating emergencies at one or more properties.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance projects and tasks with minimal supervision, including repairs on various appliances, keeping grounds free of debris, maintaining curb appeal, and routine preventative maintenance.
- Unit turns, including painting, cleaning, and repairing damage.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and schedule repairs as needed.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
- Maintain the highest level of customer service for prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments.
- Comply with company standards as defined in the Employee Handbook, Operations Playbook, and applicable laws.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 0-2+ years maintenance or related work experience.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair with hands-on experience.
- Knowledge of environmental/industrial hazards as they apply to residential housing.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks.
- Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance when on duty.
- Ability to work as a team player while displaying initiative and ability to complete tasks without supervision.
- Insurance: medical, vision, dental, life, and AD&D insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
- Retirement Plans: eligible after 1000 hours of service, vested immediately, with company matching up to a set amount each year.
- Vacation: lump sum to begin the following month of hire to equal 10 hours per month (3 weeks).
- Paid Holidays: 9 paid holidays per year.
- Sick Pay: hours of sick per hour worked (on average 10 days per year), up to 80 hours carryover each year.
- Discretionary bonuses and mileage reimbursement.
Salary Range: $20-$22/hour for 0-2 years experience, $23-$25/hour for 2+ years experience.
