Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our grant writing efforts as a Grant Writer Volunteer. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching grants that align with our organization's goals, reporting awarded grants to our management team, and contributing to the overall success of our grants management activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a proficient understanding of Google Suites and Microsoft Office, as well as excellent research and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with our organization's goals
  • Write and submit grant proposals
  • Report awarded grants to our management team
  • Contribute to the overall success of our grants management activities
Requirements:
  • Have or be in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, English, Creative Writing, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Proficient understanding of Google Suites and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Local to North Carolina
  • Duration: 10-week volunteer position (with a possibility for an extension)
  • Time commitment: 10-20 hours per week
  • Remote work arrangement
