About the Role:
The Trauma/Burn Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center is a high-energy environment focused on providing intensive care and treatment to patients with critical illnesses resulting from trauma or burn injuries.
As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
The Trauma/Burn Unit Registered Nurse will receive education and certifications to develop and grow in this role.
Our hospital is a Regional Burn Center, one of a limited number of hospitals in Illinois providing care to burn patients, serving a wide region across central and southern Illinois.
The ICU provides intensive care for burn patients before transferring them to a lower level of care and rehabilitation.
As a Registered Nurse at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will become part of a Magnet hospital that raises the bar for excellence.

Qualifications:
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
Licensed as RN in State of Illinois.
Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to position and/or transfer an average adult patient and possess gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties as required.
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing.
Must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.
Environmental working conditions include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases and/or radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.
