PDS Health Job Description

At PDS Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model Company Culture: Demonstrate a warm and approachable disposition to each patient, consistently providing a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and creating Patients for Life (PFL).
  • Support PPE Process: Help patients feel comfortable during their visit, ensuring they are well taken care of.
  • Schedule Appointments: Ensure each healthcare provider has a smooth, productive day by scheduling appointments efficiently.
  • Interact with Patients: Communicate effectively with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time.
  • Answer Phones: Handle all calls with efficiency and thoroughness, ensuring timely responses to patient inquiries.
  • Complete Front Office Checklist: Ensure all tasks are completed daily, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Post Payments: Accurately post payments to patient accounts in accordance with Company policies.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Demonstrate expertise in practice management systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Confirm Appointments: Confirm patient appointments in accordance with office confirmation policies or a minimum of 2 days in advance.
  • Resolve Patient Messages: Return and resolve patient messages received from the Contact Center in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Meetings: Actively participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior Course Work or On-the-Job Training: Have prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Office Practices and Technology: Possess knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrate a results-oriented approach, setting realistic goals and meeting commitments.
  • Patient Advocate: Show empathy and a passion for creating a positive patient experience.
  • Process Focused Operator: Be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in computer systems.
