Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Combo Welder to join our team at PeopleReady Skilled Trades Division. The successful candidate will have a strong background in MIG, TIG, and stick welding, with experience working on shipboard plant and shipboard motors, and generators.

The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience as a combo welder, with a proven track record of welding various metals using processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW. They will also be able to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding metal components together, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, and increasing the size of metal parts. They will also perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weld metal components together using gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes
  • Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and increase the size of metal parts
  • Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
  • MUST PASS hands-on Weld Tests to qualify: Stick, Dual Shield, and MIG in Flat, Horizontal, and Overhead positions

Qualifications:

  • Over 3 years of experience as a combo welder
  • Experience welding various metals using processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW
  • Ability to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
