  • Clinical Responsibilities
    • Ensure that resident documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
    • Maintain open lines of communication with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing regarding resident health statuses and care strategies.
    • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
    • Administer direct care to residents in accordance with established treatment protocols, including medication management.
  • Staff Oversight
    • Perform regular rounds between shifts to oversee and evaluate staff performance in relation to resident care and compliance with regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Document any occupational exposures in accordance with facility guidelines.
    • Engage in assessments of nursing practices by external regulatory bodies.
    • Ensure all documentation adheres to Federal and State regulations.
    • Promptly report any significant events.
    • Guarantee that nursing notes are thorough and reflect the quality of resident care.
  • Unit Leadership
    • Attend to shift reports and foster open communication with supervisors and colleagues.
    • Participate in scheduled nursing and team meetings.
    • Maintain professional relationships with medical staff and healthcare providers.
    • Respond effectively to emergency situations.
    • Encourage rehabilitation nursing practices within the unit.
    • Conduct necessary physical and psychological evaluations of residents.
    • Report any unusual occurrences impacting resident and staff welfare to the Director of Nursing.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
