Job ResponsibilitiesThe Radiologic Technician is responsible for conducting standard radiographic examinations in both inpatient and outpatient environments, adhering to established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety.
This role may involve assignments in specialized areas requiring a radiologic technician, such as the Emergency Department, Operating Room, or Fluoroscopy.
Utilizing a range of specialized equipment, the technician will produce radiographic and fluoroscopic images, as well as employ various software programs to input patient-related information into healthcare databases.
Commitment to personal excellence in both technical and interpersonal skills is essential for contributing to the overall success of the department.
Qualifications- A High School diploma is required.
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology is necessary.
- ARRT certification must be obtained within twelve months of employment in this modality or prior to the ACR re-accreditation date.
- State licensure in New Jersey is mandatory.
The role requires analytical skills to address problems using basic mathematical or technical principles, along with the ability to clearly explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
