Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals according to established menus and recipes.
  • Respect residents' dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure proper food transportation, plating, and portion control.
  • Deliver high-quality meals to residents and guests promptly.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain accurate temperature controls, food storage, and rotation.
  • Document temperature and equipment logs as required.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Services Director on menus and procedures.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team for efficient operations.
  • Perform all assigned side work and setup/breakdown duties.
  • Restock supplies as necessary.
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prepare large quantities of food efficiently.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and conversions.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies.
  • Knowledge of service standards and food safety.
  • Proper knife handling skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Requirements

  • Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (assistance provided).
  • Food Handlers Card.
  • Current 2-step TB test (available on-site).
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Preferred prior experience as a Culinary Specialist or similar role.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay range of $17.50–$19.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
