Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate OB/GYN nurse to join our team as a contract labor and delivery nurse. This is a per diem opportunity for a travel nurse to provide high-quality care to high-risk maternity patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to high-risk antepartum and postpartum women with medically or obstetrically complicated pregnancies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse midwives, and social workers to provide the highest quality care to the high-risk patient population.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
  • Floating among the units in order to meet variable needs of volume and acuity is an ongoing expectation of all OB/GYN nurses.
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Labor & Delivery experience
  • Two years of Telemetry experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN New York state license
  • One year of Epic experience
  • Fetal monitoring experience and certification
  • NRP Certification
