Cashier AOP

ASM Global is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at the Aquarium of the Pacific. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for accurately accounting for all transactions, including inventory, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting of all cash and inventory on assigned concession stand.
• Perform location worker assignments.
• Long periods of standing.
• Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area for employees.
• Plan for daily sales flow based on projections.
• Plan for peak hour sales and make change requirements known to the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Organize all paperwork, including cash slips, inventory stand sheets, meal sheets, and spoilage reports.
• Verify proper item prices to the menu.
• Stock and restock product upon delivery to location.
• Monitor proper recording of employees' meals and meal vouchers, if applicable.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
• Follow all rules and regulations of Food and Beverage.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Comply with transfer and requisition, cash handling, and purchasing policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures.
• Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money.
• Must have basic working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operation.
• Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and employees.

Working Conditions:

This position requires long periods of standing, stooping, and lifting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs to the waist. Must have a CA Food handler Card and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate.
