We are seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team at Soliant. As an ASL Interpreter, you will play a critical role in facilitating communication between students and staff in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality ASL interpretation services to support students with hearing loss in the classroom and behavior program.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other team members to ensure students' needs are met and they have equal access to educational opportunities.
- Support students' participation in classroom activities and behavior programs, promoting social and academic inclusion.
- Work closely with the one-on-one para and other team members to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet students' unique needs.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience working as an ASL interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, teachers, and support staff.
- Ability to support students with complex needs in a dynamic classroom environment.
