Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). As a Circulating Nurse in our fast-paced Operating Room, you will provide patient care to patients undergoing elective or emergent procedures from various specialties.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays, such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms from cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, oxygen pumps, etc.
  • Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit/department.
  • Prioritize patient care in an ongoing manner in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
  • Communicate appropriate information regarding patient condition or unit concerns to other health care team members.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • 1 year Operating Room experience.
