Job Overview

Community Health Center of the North Country is seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team. As a Family Practice Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, including physical examinations, evaluations, and treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, and treatments.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments to assess medical conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures governing patient care.
  • Supervise the quality assurance program and report activities to the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and provide supervision as needed.

Requirements:

  • Medical doctor with five-plus years of directly related experience.
  • Current, registered New York State license to practice medicine.
  • Current Board certification.
  • Current DEA certification.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with others.
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with issues.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., lift and support patients with and without help.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Regular exposure to infectious diseases, blood and airborne pathogens, needle sticks, hygiene issues, and other odors.
  • Able to tolerate clinical smells.
  • Ability to read digital readouts, recognize colors, and operate necessary medical equipment.
  • Ability to operate mechanical devices used by patients.
  • Ability to wear necessary hospital masks, gowns, gloves, and close-toed shoes.
