Job Summary:

The Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Center seeks a skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our wound care team, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of wound care services within our clinic and inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive wound management plans to promote healing and prevent further complications.
  • Treat and manage various types of wounds, including vascular ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and skin infections.
  • Conduct regular wound assessments and evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with the wound care team to provide education and training on wound prevention and management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of ulcers and wounds.
  • Provide patient education on wound care and management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care services.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
  • Experience in wound care and management.
  • Strong knowledge of wound assessment and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
