ECMO Specialist Opportunity at Regions Hospital

Regions Hospital is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist or RN to join our team as an ECMO Specialist. This role will involve developing our new ECMO program, working with a collaborative team of Respiratory Therapists and Nurses, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, prime, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical circulatory/ECMO equipment and circuits.
  • Work closely with bedside nurses to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Assist in the collection and review of quality improvement initiatives to establish best practices.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of critical care experience in an acute setting.
  • Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Minnesota RN License and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
