Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design, deployment, and management of Azure Gov IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS services. This role involves a hands-on approach to implementing and maintaining Azure Gov Cloud tenants, including the migration of workloads from on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect and manage Azure Gov services, ensuring all projects align with the architectural vision.
  2. Oversee the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure and data center solutions, focusing on computing, networking, routing, and security.
  3. Support hybrid cloud architectures and design solutions in cloud and virtualized environments.
  4. Communicate the architectural vision effectively across teams and provide technical leadership on complex projects.
  5. Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy and manage its implementation.
  6. Manage costs associated with Azure Gov services and establish a tagging strategy for cloud resources.
  7. Utilize core Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL, to support cloud operations.
  8. Design, build, and maintain various Windows and Linux systems and services.
  9. Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution and service delivery.
  10. Create documentation for diverse audiences while managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  11. Apply knowledge of RESTful APIs, Web Services, XML, and JSON in cloud solutions.

Education Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  2. 10 years of relevant work experience or equivalent education.
  3. Microsoft Azure Certification in specialized areas is mandatory.
  4. ITIL V4 Certification is preferred.
  5. Agile SaFe/Scrum Master Certification is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in designing and maintaining public/Gov cloud solutions, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  2. Proficient in networking concepts, including IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, and Azure Firewall.
  3. Strong technical architecture skills to create scalable global solutions.
  4. Minimum 3 years of experience managing Windows and Linux servers.
  5. Expertise in Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates, and Azure Networking.
  6. Intermediate knowledge of Azure DevOps and Azure Security Management.
  7. Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as Azure Log Analytics and Azure Monitor.
  8. Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Infrastructure-As-Code and CI/CD methodologies.
  9. Knowledge of security policies and cloud security services.
  10. Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  11. Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  12. Experience with relational databases, particularly MS SQL.
