Job Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services/pharmaceutical care to patients of Ballad Health, practicing under the direction of pharmacy leadership and guided by professional pharmacy standards. This role requires a strong commitment to continuing education and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical consultations and medication usage evaluations for patients of all age groups.
  • Develop and implement pharmaceutical care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
  • Participate in the education and training of staff pharmacists, resident physicians, and pharmacy students.
  • Interact positively and supportively with clinical practitioners from various Colleges of Pharmacy.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council for Pharmaceutical Education.
  • Documented recent experience and proficiency in clinical pharmacy services/pharmaceutical care.
  • Board Certification status in Pharmacotherapy or 5+ years of full-time clinical/clinical-focused experience in a similar setting.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Eligibility for licensure by the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
  • BLS certification required, ACLS and/or PALS may be required based on assigned job duties.

Work Requirements:
  • Day shift.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • Rotating weekends.
