Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Percussion Instructor to join our team at Big Walnut High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the percussion section of the marching band.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive percussion program that aligns with the school's music curriculum
• Recruit, select, and direct percussionists for the marching band
• Plan and deliver engaging rehearsals and performances that showcase the students' skills
• Collaborate with the band director and other music staff to ensure a cohesive and high-quality music program
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Music Education or a related field
• Proven experience in leading percussion sections in a high school or college setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents
• Current BCI & FBI background checks and Pupil Activity Permit
