OverviewWe proudly serve the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties, offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including the Siteman Cancer Center, Breast Health and Women's Center, Cardiology Center, Neurosurgery Center, and Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.
Benefits and SalaryOur competitive salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to an attractive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and legal services available first day of the month after hire date, disability insurance, pension plan/403(b) plan, 401(k) plan with BJC match, tuition assistance, and adoption assistance.
Job DescriptionThe Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care after completing a nursing program and before licensure. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:- Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
- Uses critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
We require a nursing diploma/associate's degree in nursing and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Preferred qualifications include experience in cardiology, oncology, and neuroscience.
