AtWork Group is seeking an experienced Upholstery Professional to join our team in Madison, AL. This is a temporary to hire position.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Upholstery Technician to repair and replace upholstery in ambulances. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of verifiable experience in the upholstery industry and be able to read blueprints and fabricate products from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair or replace upholstery in ambulances, including removing old upholstery and measuring new padding and covering materials.
  • Measure and cut new padding and covering materials to required dimensions using a knife or shears.
  • Adjust or replace seat springs and secure them in place.
  • Sew covering material together using a sewing machine.
  • Fits covering to seat frame and secures it with glue and tacks.
  • Refurbish interiors of ambulances by replacing cushions, drapes, and floor coverings.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of verifiable experience in the upholstery industry.
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabricate products from scratch.
  • Experience with industrial sewing machines.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
