As a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the United States Air Force's high-performance military aircraft. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every component of these aircraft is maintained to the most exacting standards.

Job Description

  • You will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of tactical aircraft, including fighters, strike-fighters, and attack planes.
  • You will work closely with pilots and other maintenance specialists to guarantee that these aircraft are ready for immediate deployment.

Requirements

  • You must meet specific health requirements and possess mechanical knowledge.
  • You must be at least 17 years old and not have reached age 42 on the date of enlistment.
  • You must obtain a qualifying ASVAB score, which includes a minimum Mechanical (M) score of 47.
  • You must pass a National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks, and Credit check.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You must have knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems.
  • You must have normal color vision.
  • You must be able to complete 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training.
