Position Summary:

Position Specifications:

  • Housing: May Be Available
  • Expected Compensation: $20.00 / hour
  • Availability: Full Time & Part Time, including Weekends and Holidays
  • Experience Level: Entry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and document daily and periodic inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of resort facilities, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Perform daily upkeep of associated facilities, tools, and equipment.
  • Carry out daily inspections of facilities and vehicles.
  • Communicate maintenance needs proactively to facilitate timely procurement of parts and equipment.
  • Engage with guests and staff while exemplifying Vail Resorts' Core Values.
  • Assist with operational activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Willingness to work 1st and 2nd shifts.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and perform medium work (up to 50 lbs of force occasionally).
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic education is preferred.
  • Previous experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Possession of a Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Able and willing to ride chairlifts.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities: effectively address maintenance and operational needs in a positive, solution-oriented manner.
  • Teamwork: collaborate effectively with leadership and other staff to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance tasks punctually.
  • Organizational skills: manage a variety of tasks and prioritize daily work to enhance productivity and efficient maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to learn and use chemicals as directed.
  • Visual acuity necessary for inspections involving work at various distances.

A Custodial Maintenance team member is a versatile employee who may work across multiple departments and roles to support the unified resort approach, which could include:

  • Mountain Activities
  • Retail Rental Operations
  • Food and Beverage Support
  • Ticket Sales or Scanning
  • Lift Operations
  • Base Area Operations

The expected pay range is $20.00. This is the anticipated compensation for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
