TLC NURSING SERVICES is a healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services. We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and support our occupational therapy team in helping patients regain and enhance their functional independence.

Job Summary
This role involves patient interaction, progress documentation, and close collaboration with the OT team to ensure the highest quality of care. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of patience, empathy, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
• Therapeutic Support: Implement and guide patients through therapy plans developed by the OT, using exercises, stretches, and activities to improve mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Patient Education: Teach patients and their families or caregivers about exercises and techniques to facilitate recovery and enhance independence in daily activities.
• Progress Monitoring: Observe and document patient progress and response to treatments, noting any challenges or achievements and reporting back to the OT for plan adjustments.
• Adaptation Assistance: Help patients adapt to equipment or techniques that support daily living, such as mobility aids, adaptive utensils, or home modifications.
• Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols.
• Patient Comfort & Safety: Ensure a safe and comfortable environment during therapy sessions, assisting patients with positioning and ensuring proper use of equipment.

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or a related field from an accredited program, current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in good standing, and previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) for accurate documentation and reporting is also required.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
