Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Urology department at Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a defined group of patients. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate and facilitate healthcare services, provide nursing care, and develop individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop a written plan of care, prioritizing essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of patient response to care, anticipating and recognizing changes in patient status and need for nursing care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement professional nursing standards, participate in multidisciplinary quality assurance activities, and adhere to KFHPW safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing education and support to promote patient self-care and adherence to medical regimens.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
