Key Responsibilities:

The Assembly Line Technician role involves various assembly line tasks related to the company's diverse product offerings, including Truck bodies and Specialty Vehicles. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Acquiring and applying skills necessary for assembly in designated areas
- Interpreting and adhering to detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, and blueprints
- Conducting rework as necessary
- Implementing feedback from Supervisors and Team Leads
- Completing necessary documentation (e.g., defective tags, build books)
- Understanding and articulating the production flow of assigned product lines
- Performing self-checks and inspecting previous processes
- Utilizing basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required
- Meeting production targets
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Initiating process improvements
- Supporting 5S principles in the workspace
- Collaborating with manufacturing and cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales) to resolve issues
- Engaging with customers as necessary

Qualifications for Success:

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening
- Excellent attendance record
- Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to remain focused
- Team-oriented with effective listening skills
- Proficient in reading and understanding work orders, directions, charts, forms, and safety regulations
- Capable of using and interpreting various gauges
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
- Proficient in reading a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch
- Experience with power tools
- Basic computer skills required

Willingness to:
  • Learn and rotate through all areas and plants (production or materials)
  • Enhance personal and company performance (including pursuing additional training, if necessary)
  • Develop a working knowledge of company systems (e.g., AS/400)
Able to:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work overtime on short notice
  • Adapt to change effectively
