Speech Therapist Job Description

Heritage Rehab is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our In-House Therapy Team. Our 135-bed facility in Logan, Ohio, offers a picturesque setting and a convenient location off Route 33.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat communication disorders, including motor speech disorders, language disorders, cognitive language deficits, and voice disorders.
  • Provide direct patient services to improve cognitive, communicative, and swallowing abilities of neurological impaired persons.
  • Evaluate, treat, and provide case management for dysphagic patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes and adhere to professional standards of practice.
  • Follow administrative policies and procedures related to emergency procedures, infection control, and safety.
  • Coordinate and participate in training programs for facility staff, residents, families, and rehabilitation staff.
  • Initiate new program development with a focus on functional outcomes to improve the quality of life of residents.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice in Ohio.
