**Research Scientist Position in Oncology at UCSF

\

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research scientist to join our team at UCSF. As a member of the Gordan Lab, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in cancer systems biology, working closely with a diverse group of scientists and engineers.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate oncogenic activation of Protein Kinase A (PKA)\
  • Analyze and interpret complex data from proteomic and functional studies\
  • Develop and implement new methods and techniques to advance cancer research\
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives\
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of research activities\
  • Communicate research findings through presentations and publications\
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant literature and technologies\
  • Mentor junior researchers and provide guidance on experimental design and data analysis

**Requirements:

  • \
  • Ph.D. or M.D. in a related discipline\
  • Experience with wet lab experimental science required\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines\
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills\
  • Passion for cancer research and commitment to advancing scientific knowledge\
  • Experience with drug development, primary cell culture, or systems biology preferred
