We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmology team.
Key Responsibilities- Support ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care.
- Assist with patient preparation, examination, and treatment.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
