Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction

Inova Fairfax Hospital is proud to be a Magnet-designated hospital, recognized for our commitment to nursing excellence. Our Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit is a 48-bed unit that sees patients from birth to 23 years old, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4 to 5 patients per RN. We offer a competitive sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience, with a strong preference for Pediatric RN experience
  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing, with the option to complete BSN within 5 years of start date
  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
  • RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
  • Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
