Job Summary

The New Mexico VA Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary treatment team to deliver comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with mental health needs, including assessment, evaluation, and care planning.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary treatment team to deliver comprehensive care to our patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote self-reliance and independence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule. The position is located in Albuquerque, NM, and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
