Job Overview

Carnahan Proctor and Cross, Inc. (CPC) is seeking a dedicated Construction Quality Assurance Inspector for full-time employment in a residential development project. As a prominent leader in the construction services sector, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with reliable on-site representation throughout all construction phases. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in conducting and documenting site inspections for projects encompassing both vertical and civil construction elements.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing quality assurance to confirm that construction activities align with contract specifications.
  • Conducting daily observations of the contractor's quality control measures and maintaining a comprehensive daily log, inclusive of photographic documentation of construction and inspection activities.
  • Verifying that home models and driveway layouts are accurately constructed on designated lots.
  • Ensuring that product deliveries meet the agreed-upon services, materials, and industry standards.
  • Providing technical advice and recommendations on construction-related matters to project stakeholders.
  • Monitoring safety practices on-site and reporting any safety issues, site cleanliness concerns, or improper material handling.
  • Documenting and reporting on all trades and equipment present on-site daily, along with ongoing work progress.
  • Preparing daily reports that summarize completed work, include photographs of current activities and stored materials, and highlight any issues encountered.
  • Capturing and reporting photographic and/or video evidence of each residential lot under construction, noting any deficiencies and documenting both interior and exterior elevations.
  • Maintaining respectful communication with all visitors, contractors, and representatives of stakeholders.

Salary: Based on Experience

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction inspections.
  • Organized, resourceful, and able to demonstrate a sense of urgency while performing inspections accurately and safely.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards applicable to the construction industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to build rapport with diverse individuals and personalities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capable of entering data quickly and accurately.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
