Job Title: General Assembler

At Reliance Worldwide, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Assembler to join our team. As a General Assembler, you will be responsible for operating equipment in a factory or warehouse and preparing items for distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Place parts in specified relationships to each other.
  • Bolt, clip, screw, or otherwise fasten parts together.
  • Tend machines, such as automated machinery, to perform operations on the assembly line.
  • Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to become familiar with all assembly processes.
  • Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy.
  • Routinely practice 6s (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Ensure that workstations are clean and free of hazardous materials.
  • Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
  • Pack up completed products and prepare them for shipment.
  • Report issues or problems with production (equipment defects) to immediate supervisors.
  • Observe and remove faulty product parts from the assembly line.
Requirements:
  • Consistently demonstrate and incorporate safety principles for self and others into daily activities.
  • Attend required safety training and participate in safety exercises.
  • Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment for self and coworkers.
  • Consistently maintain an acceptable level of productivity.
  • Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel components or use controls on an assembly machine.
  • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, 15 pounds, and 20 pounds.
  • Required to stand on feet for long periods of time.
  • Often performing repetitious motions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Able to perform job duties safely.
