We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Wellstar Health System. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients' total needs, following physician orders and utilizing the nursing process.
- Perform routine nursing procedures to meet patients' needs, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Meet established productivity standards and demonstrate knowledge and skill in accessing and de-accessing ports, including flushing the line and sterile technique.
- Administer medications as defined within the scope of practice for Wellstar Health System.
- Seek training, supervision, or direction from leadership as needed and delegate tasks to unlicensed staff, as appropriate and within their scope of practice.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics, in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or instructor certification.
- Previous healthcare experience, preferably in oncology, ambulatory, or outpatient settings.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
