Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Wellstar Health System. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our oncology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients' total needs, following physician orders and utilizing the nursing process.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures to meet patients' needs, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Meet established productivity standards and demonstrate knowledge and skill in accessing and de-accessing ports, including flushing the line and sterile technique.
  • Administer medications as defined within the scope of practice for Wellstar Health System.
  • Seek training, supervision, or direction from leadership as needed and delegate tasks to unlicensed staff, as appropriate and within their scope of practice.
  • Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics, in a culturally sensitive manner.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or instructor certification.
  • Previous healthcare experience, preferably in oncology, ambulatory, or outpatient settings.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong assessment and clinical skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
