Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines
  • Locate and repair malfunctions using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools and equipment
  • Monitor and control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends
  • Must have basic math and communication skills and knowledge to accomplish required paperwork and read technical manuals
  • Must have knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
  • Should be skilled at operating welding/brazing equipment, lathes, milling machines, and other shop equipment
  • Must have ability to routinely and frequently stoop, bend, reach, climb ladder/scaffolds, and work in tight, cramped spaces
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes, as well as dexterity in ceiling height areas
  • Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect equipment malfunctions and warning devices/signs
