Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in advising and counseling inpatients on food and nutrition, assessing dietary needs, and planning therapeutic diets.
Responsibilities- Assess dietary needs and plan therapeutic diets for inpatients based on their current health concerns.
- Analyze the effects of interventions and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to improve patient outcomes.
- Oversee and implement the preparation and service of meals for patients in the hospital.
- Ensure the dietary department is in compliance with company guidelines, state, federal, and other governing bodies' laws and regulations.
- Assure patients are consistently served diets as ordered, following guidelines for meal times and meal temperatures.
- Current Dietitian licensure required in the state of practice.
- Continuing Education of minimum hours every year to sustain credentials.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Additional languages are desirable.
- Basic computer knowledge.
